Megan spent more than 20 years working as a wildland fire responder and fuels specialist. Her work spanned operational fire management, prescribed fire, and strategic fuels treatment planning and implementation. Her strengths are translating science to useful on-the-ground applications and learning about systems to better support positive and realistic change.
In her off time, Megan loves to hike, swim, cross country ski, read, and explore outdoors. A longtime Montana Master Naturalist, she contributes to citizen science projects and writes blog posts about natural wonders.
