Joe Flannery

Joe possesses a unique combination of natural resource education with over ten years of experience in partnerships and communication with the United States Forest Service. In the USFS, Joe focused on increasing key stakeholder and public engagement to support conservation organizations and government agencies’ efforts to increase the pace and scale of landscape restoration. Joe is passionate about conservation education and believes a well-informed public is one far likely to support future endeavors to conserve biodiversity, sustainably utilize natural resources, and prioritize carbon drawdown. As a documentary filmmaker, Joe’s projects have focused on biodiversity and conservation including subjects such as free-ranging bison, wildfire, spring-run chinook salmon, grasslands, and the return of wolves to California.
