Brice Smith

Brice joins Vibrant Planet as a Technical Partnership Success Manager. He brings experience in environmental compliance and vegetation management planning from two years as an Environmental Scientist with the CAL FIRE San Diego Unit. There, his main work was CEQA compliance for the unit’s vegetation management projects in the fire-prone landscapes and wildland-urban interface of San Diego County. He also played a lead role in the San Diego Unit’s pilot collaboration with Vibrant Planet. After earning a degree in Environmental Management and Protection from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Brice supported habitat restoration projects with California State Parks’ San Diego Coast District. An avid surfer who also loves hiking and camping, Brice is driven to protect vulnerable ecosystems and communities from catastrophic wildfire. At Vibrant Planet, he brings an agency practitioner’s perspective to help land managers turn science-based planning into restoration work on the ground.
