Ryan is a geospatial professional with over ten years of experience using GIS and remote sensing to address complex natural resource challenges. His forestry experience ranges from broadscale regional biomass assessments to terrestrial lidar scanning of individual trees. Additionally, he has worked on numerous remote sensing projects in the realms of ecology, wildlife, and water resources through his experience in academia and private environmental consulting. His previous projects include Joshua tree population assessments, quantification of Canada lynx understory habitat, and development of a statewide water use index. At Vibrant Planet, Ryan applies his passion for the environment and geospatial experience to improve landscape resilience.
